HON 100 Peer Mentors
HON 100 peer mentors work with an HON 100 faculty instructor to facilitate an HON 100: Honors Seminar course. The scope of work required of an HON 100 peer mentor will be determined by the faculty instructor and the student. HON 100 peer mentors may earn one hour of HON 390 credit for their work and must be able to commit for the Fall 2017 semester (must attend HON 100 class one time a week and may have additional meetings with faculty instructor).
To become a student mentor for HON 100, you must:
- Consult the list of HON 100 sections needing a peer mentor
- Contact the HON 100 faculty member you are interested in working with and ask to meet with that person about being their HON 100 student mentor
- Meet with the faculty member and complete the HON 390 Contract Form for HON 100 Peer Mentors together, which includes your work plan for earning your HON 390 credit
- Submit the completed form to the Honors Program office by the deadline (for Fall 2016, the deadline is Friday, April 28, 2017).
HON 100 peer mentors will be registered for their one hour of HON 390 by the Honors Program office.
